I'm sure he will be pleased with his Savage. Damn things are near indestructible. Ours is a 98, and has never even needed the belt adjusted. On the past weekend we rolled 26,000 on the Savage and a little further on the Sporty turned 103,000. On the way home the HD developed a very loud chirp from somewhere in back; sprocket maybe? Will spend today trying to diagnose and repair.
